Why Bright Spot Mailbox?
Hi! I’m Kristin, mom of three and the heart behind Bright Spot Mailbox. I’m currently on pause from my career and always looking for special ways to have fun with my kids. Life with littles can be busy, loud, & messy —but just 15–30 minutes of focused family time has been my lifesaver since my children were born. These moments bring joy, connection, and a little breath of fresh air, and I love diving into cute, creative projects with my kids.

Last March, I took a screen break to be more present, and the one thing I truly missed was craft and activity inspiration from other caregivers. I love seeing what families do together, and I missed that sense of shared creativity from social media. So, in October 2025, I created Bright Spot Mailbox—a way to share my love for all things crafty, connecting, and fun… but off-screen.

I wanted to offer inspiration to families without the overstimulation of screens or the overwhelm of sifting through thousands of crafts online. I originally considered calling it Bright Spot Paper Blog—a kind of handwritten craft blog—but it didn’t feel quite right. So, Bright Spot Mailbox was born.

Since then, I’ve shared my letters with families across the country, and seeing photos of kids and parents diving into these crafts—special little moments of their weeks—has been incredibly rewarding. It’s exactly what I hoped to create: fun, thoughtful, and meaningful off-screen time for families.

Plus, you get to choose what’s perfect for your family—your size, your budget, your values. That way, every craft is a little more personal, a little more yours, and a lot more fun!

Bright Spot is for all hands at the table—little hands, big hands, and everyone in between! Most crafts and activities are perfect for ages 3–7, but each letter is designed with multi-age families in mind. Littles can try a simpler version, older kids can take the lead, and grown-ups can jump in or invent their own creations. Every craft and activity sparks imagination, creativity, and family fun, making ordinary days feel special.
